The beautiful temple of Muktidham is one of the must visited spots in Nashik. This is an eye pleasing temple built with the pure marble stone. The temple complex is 7 km away from Nashik station. Shri Jayaram Bhai Chauhan constructed this temple in 1971. It is a unique example of marble architecture, made with white marble brought from Makran in Rajasthan. The sight of the bright white colour of the temple gives a peace, calmness and feeling of holiness.

Temple Complex

All 18 chapters of Bhagavad Geeta are carved walls of Muktidham temple Nashik. The replica’s of all 12 Jyotirlinga’s have been built in this temple. The replica idols of all jyotirlingas are exactly as per their original temple dimensions. Icons of important Hindu gods & goddess like Ram, Seeta, Vishnu, Laxmi, Ganesh, Hanuman, Durga are also displayed on walls on this temple.

There is also a temple of Lord Krishna in the complex of this temple. The walls of Krishna temple have paintings describing scenes from Mahabharata & life of Krishna. These scenes were drawn by popular artist Raghubir Mulgaonkar

Festivals             

In the month December of every year, the SaryuMahotsava Festival is held at Muktidham temple Nashik. During this festival, thousands of earthen lamps are lit on the ghats to worship Saryu River. A huge number of people flock to this temple during the holiest occasion of KumbhMela. The temple complex also has its own Dharmashala, which can accommodate nearby 200 people.
