Sula vineyard Nashik is a very big vineyard situated on the outskirts Nashik, Maharashtra. Nashik is India’s largest grape production region. As a result, it leads to the operation & production of a lot of premium wines. Sula vineyard is India’s one of the most famous wineries. It has established rapidly as leading premium wine brand of India. Sula was awarded Silver Medal for its 2012 Sauvignon Blanc as the biggest wine maker of India. Rajiv Samant & Kerry Damskey are the founders of Sula. Mr. Rajiv Sawant is from Nasik and named this vineyard as Sula from his mother’s name-Sulabha.

This vineyard has developed into a world-class winery from its beginning in 1997. The expanse of the vineyard is on big 160 acres of land in Nashik. Sula vineyard Nashik has very ambient tasting room giving amazing views over the vineyard. Many wine flavours are available at Sula. The wines are available in small, medium and barrel size packages. It is a perfect place for experiencing wine as well as to have some yummy delicacies. Even restaurants in here serve really good food.

History of Sula Vineyard Nashik

Earlier, grapes in Nashik was not considered ideal for making wine. So in 1997, Rajiv Samant & Kerry Damskey decided to plant varieties of grapes which were never planted in India. They planted varieties like French Sauvignon Blanc and Californian Chenin Blanc.

Then in the year 2000, Sula wines products were firstly released. Since then Sula is widely known as India’s best white wines. You can enjoy the sunset and spend the evening at the Sula vineyard Nashik. There is also a pool table and also a lounge bar.

How To Reach Sula vineyard Nashik: Since Nashik is situated on NH-3 (Mumbai-Agra National Highway), you can easily reach Nashik city by road. Every day a huge number of Personal vehicles, Cabs, ST & tourist buses ply to Nashik from all major cities. Nashik is  146 km away from Thane, 150 km from Valsad, 170 km from Mumbai, 204 km from Aurangabad, 211 km from Pune and 240 km away from Surat.

  • Nearest Rail Station: Nashik Road Railway Station (17 km). You can hire radio cabs or private vehicles from Nashik station to Sula vineyards.
  • Nearest Airport: Nashik(Ozar) Airport is the nearest airport which is at 19 km from Sula vineyards. But this airport has less connectivity as compared to Mumbai Airport (170 km).

Stay: Sula vineyard Nashik offers nice accommodation facilities. It has its own Resort named – Beyond by Sula. Otherwise, various hotels are also available in Nashik city.

Eating Stuff: Restaurants in vineyard offers delicious food items. It has a rooftop restaurant, Little Italy, and Soma to have amazing food.

Tasting Room Timings: The tasting room remains open every day from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Charges for 4 samples of wine and tour of wine manufacturing plant are Rs. 150/- per person. Tasting Room remains closed on dry days.

Vineyard Touring Timing: Vineyard authorities arrange tours every day from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm [1 Tour per hour]. Only vineyard plant tour costs Rs. 100/- per person.
