It is a beautiful beach located in Shriwardhan town of Raigad district, Maharashtra. Shrivardhan has a magnificent white sand beach on the Konkan coastline. This beach is one of the least explored beaches in Maharashtra. Shriwardhan beach water sports are also famous among tourists. It offers scenic views along with the peaceful surrounding environment. Tourists can enjoy amazing sights of the beach area while travelling from Diveagar on the left side.

Shriwardhan town has significant religious as well as historical importance. It is well known as the Town of the Peshwa. The Peshwa rulers of Maratha Kingdom ruled for more than 100 years. The 1st Balaji Vishwanath Peshwa of the Maratha Empire hailed from the Shriwardhan only. In the year 1750, the 3rd Balaji Bajirao Peshwe constructed his mansion in Shrivardhan. This mansion was reconstructed lately.
Despite the fact that the capital of Peshwai was Pune, the actual Peshwai was established in Shriwardhan in 1713. The 1st Balaji Vishwanath Peshwe governed the Peshwai till the year 1818. Shriwardhan is a twin town of Harihareshwar. Along with Shriwardhan, the beach of Harihareshwar is also popular among tourists.

The monument to tribute Balaji Vishwanath Peshwe (The Peshwa Smarak) was built in Shriwardhan in the year 1988. Apart from beaches, Shrivardhan is also famous for Shree Laxminarayan temple.
